Greetings from the final work party before the playa!

Dear Friends and Family,
The last Café work party was in early August, mere weeks before some of our crew left for the playa. A second lantern project was in the works for the lantern trees. This time making lanterns by attaching paper scraps and fabric onto cheap plastic trash cans. Many of the lanterns had a cool stained glass look that will work nicely with some of the art planned for the Café.

The work parties have been very productive and fun for all. We've had lots of great volunteers, many returning for multiple work parties, some of whom have not yet been to Burning Man, and some who will be camping with us at Café Village. A few folks who can't make it out to the desert for the event came to the work parties so that they could still help out and keep in touch with the community. How cool is that?
